6 March 2020 (Penang): 9 students from The One Academy Penang have benefited from The Madam Tan Hong Mui Scholarship (TMTHMS) in 2019/2020.

Madam Tan Hong Mui, who shown enthusiastic support for the efforts of education has donated RM150,500.00 through the TMTHMS. She believes that education is the most powerful weapon to change the world.

“We have a powerful potential in our youth, and we must have the courage to change old ideas and practices so that we may direct their power toward good ends. Its heartening to see that these emerging youths make full use of their platform and create a new horizons for themselves and their communities.”

The Madam Tan Hong Mui Scholarship (TMTHMS) was established in 2017 and is based upon the conviction that an educated citizenry is essential to a progressive society.

Over the past 4 years, TMTHMS has provided over more than RM 3 million ringgit to needy students with full-tuition scholarships up towards their college and universities' education fee. Till date - more than 300 students have benefitted from the scheme. Scholarship recipients have to pledge to use their talents for the betterment of Malaysia society at large and to pay it forward to other needy students.

TMTHMS Foundation aims to assist young students who are in need of financial aid to fulfil their dreams, with the aim of bringing contribution of new talents to the art society.

(槟城6日讯）9名来自槟城The One Academy的学生获颁2019/2020年度陈凤妹夫人教育基金（The Madam Tan Hong Mui Scholarship－TTHMS），让他们得以继续求学之路，往梦想前进。

向来热心教育事业的陈凤妹女士，今次再通过其教育基金，共拨款15万500令吉作为奖学金。她相信，教育是改变世界最有力的武器。

“年轻人具有非常大的潜力，我们必须勇敢改变旧的观念和做法，以利用年轻人的才华和优势，朝着美好的目标前进。令人振奋的是，这些年轻人能够充分利用自己的平台，为自己和社区创造新视野。”

陈凤妹夫人教育基金创立于2017年，以“良好教育对进步社会至关重要”为公益理念，旨在帮助需要经济援助的年轻学生实现他们的梦想，并为社会栽培新的艺术人才。

在过去的4年里，有关基金会已派发了超过300万令吉的全额奖学金，作为学生的教育费用。截止今日，共有超过300名学生受惠。
